So why did SonicWall include the HTML global option for logging because if chosen it breaks automated email logs (they end up being empty), it breaks manual exporting of the logs (it returns SMTP error) and only works with email alerts (however like you said they can be sent to junk mail)? *** It would be so nice of them…

@BWC_DE thank you for your explanation. I understand this better now. However those SKUs you sent don't seem to be for 1-24 endpoints. They say for 5-24 for both the 1 year and 3 year: https://www.cdw.ca/product/sonicwall-capture-client-advanced-subscription-license-1-year-1-endpo/5517477…

Therefore it cannot decrypt…

I opened up a support ticket and was told this was by design. That sounds like a cop-out to me. If you can send email alerts in HTML format that it has nothing to do with the restrictions of an email server so the developers need to take the time and fix this so you can: select HTML format for email alerts which makes them…

It was because I had Email Format set to HTML in Device-Log-Automation ---> But what I don't understand is why HTML for Email Format is even there since manually exporting logs from the System Log page does not work if HTML format is chosen AND log automation emails are blank if HTML format is…

No one has answered the part of his question about why the log emails are blank when they are set to HTML format, but send detailed information when set to Plain Text format. Is this a bug?
